Another picnic spot developed by DRDO in HESCO, Shuklapur, Prem Nagar, Dehradun.
DRDO officials are found to visit hill area, earlier ITM, Mussoorie is very popular for all senior top DRDO officials especially in summer. The ITM Mussoorie conduct lot of courses in various topics/ subjects but passage of time it can be verified that the officials visiting Mussoorie is related with topic or not.
Now the country is vibrating in the name of corporate social responsibility and DRDO officials sense the pulse and catch the fish in right time.
R&D Eng, Pune, DRDO installed a mountain bridge in shuklapur for demonstration purpose and for photo session purpose July.
Sh Anil Dattar, DG and Dr. Guruprasd, Director, R&D (E) was the visited shuklapur and have good photo session for their profile but interestingly two more DRDO officials adjusted in frame one Dr A K Gupta, Ex Director, IRDE, Laser man and Sh R C Agarwal, SDR man. What they are doing there, Dr Gupta did bridge alignment with Laser, and Dr R C Agarwal collect the data of mountain bridge resonance may be it help to complete his 100 crore project SDR in time – but it seems it looking impossible. Best part of their presence that both are in extension of service and wasting the precious tax payer’s money in Shukla pur picnic spot.

Today’s photo session was grand with Dr Manas Mandal, DG, Life Sciences, LIC man Dr Bhuwnesh Kumar, Dr Vijay veer, Director, Tezpur, who is famous for purchase daru from public fund, (double fayda home visit) Dr R B Srivastava, Director, DIHAR, Leh, he can contribute good inputs to HESCO specially in agriculture area of Uttarakhand mountain areas. Dr H B Batra, Director, DFRL, Mysore, He can give new ideas for recipes to Dr Anil Joshi, Padamshree for Uttarakhands agriculture products, Koda, Jungora etc. Dr Guruparsad, Director, R&D E already given Mountain Bridge and fixed his life time boarding lodging with HESCO whenever he will tour to Uttarakhand, Rest bunch of DRDO officials were joined tour as outing. Dr MR Bhutyani, Director, DTRL, Dr Joglekar, Dr Naresh Kumar, Dr Nassem Ahmad, Director, DRL, Haldwani , Dr Atul Grower (both joined outing only to flatter Dr Manas Mandal), Dr S S Negi, Director, IRDE was there because of compulsion, he is not related with subject nor this picnic is his cup of Tea.

RAMA RAO COMMITTEE has categorically recommended that DRDO should focus on stategic defence technology rather than wasting time in the name of rural development etc. / life sciences /agriculture etc. as there are other organizations to look after these sectors.
But DRDO has taken out the selected things which suits it in the name of implementing it. For example, CCs (R&D) have been designated now as DGs with no change in its tasks/pay scale etc. Other recommendations have been simply ignored. What a pity?
What was the need of making DIAT Pune as deemed university? Is this a DRDO Task? Does India lacks universities to impart degrees? Is this not a wastage of funds and resources for ? Prahlada enjoyed the post of Director/Vice chancellor even after 64 years. Does this not show the accommodation for retired scientists.
Why do u support Dr. SS Negi all the time. Because he is garhwali?

If Dr Negi is honest then what he is doing at HESCO on Govt money..he went to please people and provided all logistic help to giants..what he did at DMRDE kanpur..c?

DRDO- HESCO- RuTAG Meeting
We all are surprised to see a blog and shocked to read the contents of the same. There are few things which, this gentleman seems to be unaware of.
The first is that the contribution of DRDO in National context especially for community development besides defence is noteworthy. There are many interventions and initiatives taken by DRDO in the past which are applauded by the benefited community across the country.
The example of Bio toilets (PMO has requested DRDO to initiate the same under his clean India programme) and various agriculture, horticulture and other environmental initiative have received huge appreciation from different sectors of the development.
We are all surprised by the comments / critics of the person’s with undisclosed identity. It shows his malefic intention to tarnish image of DRDO.
A community bridge that R& D Pune engineers have developed is a landmark in the history of common connectivity. It is low cost can be locally fabricated and essential need of mountain communities as the latter often face difficulties especially women. PSA and HESCO approach DRDO for transfer of such knowledge, which has been successfully demonstrated. Chief Minister Office has already begun to explore its replication. The meeting has been most encouraging in interest of Himalayan community and any such malefic intension and comments are strongly opposed. It repeats of the history that any good development has to face opposition.
We strongly condemn the comment of this site which is damaging the societal “collective approach”. It is a cyber crime must be subjected to enquiry where image of the reputed persons and organization are targeted.
Moreover, each of DRDO visits, earlier and future are meant to serve mountain communities and naming these visit as a Picnic has to be strongly condemn. We will try to disclose the identity of person/ persons behind such bad intention.

One thing this site admin must understand. Things do not happen overnight. DRDO-HESCO will have to work hard to get positive results to improve the life of villagers and help people in disasters. But a start was needed somewhere. So this meeting was a start. This site is becoming too judgemental in its comments and trying to damage the prospects of India’s development as a nation safe for its citizens. If the admin of this site thinks that only they and some others are honest and all others are corrupt, they are totally mistaken. One thing this site must take care that the damage you cause to the nation must be less than the benefits you are giving but at present this is otherwise and hence I appeal people to read this site with caution as it is full of unproven cheap lies with wrong & personal ill intentions.
Yes Mr J P wait and see the results, it is good thought to do something for Uttarakahnd, but Dr Manas Mandal is same person, who is supported Dr Shashi Bala Singh, Director, DIPAS, for harass Dr Gausal Khan, Scientist ‘D’ if person is not having good moral how can we aspect good result result from him.
In the first meeting itself, Dr. Mandal has given charge for this programme to the good son of Uttarakhand, Dr. Negi whose able guidance will surely make it a success (fortunately, like us you too respect Dr. Negi). Though your logic is OK that DRDO shall focus only on defence but at one point, a question emerges – whom will we defend if disasters swallow our so many citizens. So, if DRDO technologies can help civilians, why not make the useful technologies reach common man (who has also paid taxes). And since DRDO shall not loose its focus, the role of NGOs becomes important.
It is not the question of Uttarakhand alone. Himalaya is protecting whole India. Citizens from every state died at Kedarnath. So, if we are trying to make Uttarakhand safer, it will help whole nation. If IRDE provides Night Vision Devices (Image Intensifier Tube based) and Thermal Imagers to villagers, it will help them surveillance against wild animals and criminals in darkness and bad weather conditions and also find victims in disaster situations. Forecast of cloud bursts, earthquakes etc. can save many more lives. Awareness about Defence technologies will help the children of villages get interested in science and join DRDO, ISRO etc.in future and villages will get developed. As it is well said that “scientists shall not confine themselves in ivory towers but reach common man too”.
