डीआरडीओ पूर्व प्रमुख सारस्वत को तीन हफ्ते कैद की सजा
चेन्नई, प्रेट्र : अदालत की अवमानना करने के आरोप में रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (डीआरडीओ) के पूर्व प्रमुख डॉ. वीके सारस्वत और एक अन्य वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक को तीन हफ्ते साधारण कैद की सजा सुनाई गई है। मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने अप्रैल, 2009 के अपने आदेश की अवज्ञा करने पर दोनों को यह सजा सुनाई। कोर्ट ने डीआरडीओ से संबद्ध स्कूल में कार्यरत एक लिपिक की पुनर्नियुक्ति का आदेश दिया था। अदालत के निर्देश का अनुपालन नहीं होने से खफा न्यायमूर्ति एस राजेश्वरन और न्यायमूर्ति पीएन प्रकाश की पीठ ने सारस्वत और डीआरडीओ के वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक जी मालाकोंडइया को साधारण कैद की सजा सुनाई। अदालत ने दोनों को दो-दो हजार रुपये का जुर्माना भी अदा करने का निर्देश दिया। डीआरडीओ से संबद्ध स्कूल के बंद होने पर बेकार हुए लिपिक एस जोसफ राज की अवमानना याचिका का निस्तारण करते हुए पीठ ने यह फैसला सुनाया। जोसफ डीआरडीओ के सीवीआरडीई द्वारा संचालित स्कूल में लिपिक पद पर कार्यरत थे।
